Mr. Ostendorf has over 30 years of legal experience. He has assisted many people in the music, film and entertainment industries. He has also owned entertainment related companies in the past such as Go Entertainment, Gulf Star Entertainment and others. Mr. Ostendorf is also a partner of Ostendorf Tate & Barnett LLP.
 
Attorney Lance Ostendorf has represented individuals, high net worth estates, corporations and insurance companies for many years as a consultant and litigator. His areas of practice include representation and advice in an assortment of different industries and businesses. These include equity, general liability, construction liability, products liability, technology, intellectual property, trademark, copyright, employee / employer rights, civil litigation, trucking, hotel and motel interests, multimedia and movie tax credits, theatrical and media tax credits, transactions and a host of other areas. Mr. Ostendorf focuses his practice in the area of law involved in the entertainment industry, cyber law, intellectual property, and business affairs. His clients include people in the music, film and entertainment industries. With more than 30 years of legal experience, Mr. Ostendorf has also owned entertainment-related companies in the past such as Go Entertainment, Gulf Star Entertainment and others. He practices with the law firm Pailet, Ramsey & Ostendorf, L.L.C., headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana.

In addition to his legal practice in the area of entertainment law, Mr. Ostendorf has served as lead counsel and financial advisor in major matters for individuals as well as large companies. He is trained in finance, accounting, and investments and has served as an advisor to foundations, corporations, companies and high net worth individuals. He is admitted to practice in several courts including federal trial courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.

SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITY

With regard to formal education, Mr. Ostendorf obtained his B.B.A. from Loyola University, graduating Valedictorian of his class (Summa Cum Laude) with an emphasis in Finance and Accounting.  He then graduated with honors from Loyola Law School and was a member of the Blue Key Honor Society, Phi Alpha Delta, and the Loyola Law Review. He also attended Tulane Law School in its European Law Program.
 
He was voted into Marquis “Who’s Who in American Law”, “Who’s Who in America”, “Who’s Who in Finance and Industry”, as well as, “Who’s Who in the World.”
 
He was honored by Martindale-Hubbell, a national attorney rating service, being accorded the highest possible rating by his peers, receiving its prestigious “AV” rating.  
 
Mr. Ostendorf was admitted to the practice of law in 1980. He is a member the International Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans Bar Association, the Maritime Law Association of the United States, the International Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and many other professional associations.  He is admitted to practice in several courts including federal trial courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
 
He has authored several law review articles and monograms.
